The new Dual Cut™ jig saw blades from Starrett has solved one of the biggest problems for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom fitters - how to cut melamine shelves and other coated boards without damaging the edges of the board.

Downcut blades offer a clean finish on the top side of the material being cut, but have the disadvantage of damaging the underside of the material, the patented Starrett Dual Cut™ blade has teeth facing in both directions, providing a clean cut on both the top and the bottom edge.  Downcut blades also tend to produce off square cuts, creating further problems or remedial work.  Because Starrett Dual Cut™ cuts in both directions, it is able to cut an accurate square face in any wood based material from 6 to 30mm thickness.

Dual Cut™ blades open the door for anyone to cut anything from laminate flooring to kitchen cupboards and shelves, with a single blade and a professional finish in a single cut.
