Carbide Tipped

Carbide Tipped band saw bladeAn ideal blade for cutting abrasive materials quickly and efficiently, whilst leaving a smooth surface finish.  Type I offers improved shock resistance and is perfect for intermittent cutting applications.  Type III offers optimum abrasion and wear resistance, more suitable for solid sections.

Features and Benefits:

  • Type I - Tungsten Carbide teeth, incorporating high cobalt binder control for optimum toughness and shock resistance.
  • Type III - Lower cobalt binder content than Type I, selected for its extreme resistance to wear and heat, welded to a tough alloy steel back.
  • Precision ground triple chip tooth design; positive rake.
  • Fatigue resistant alloy steel backing strip.
  • Potentially faster metal cutting than bi-metal blades.
  • Type III blades cut steel up to 60HRC.
  • Optimum choice for difficult to machine high alloy steels, cobalt, nickel and titanium alloys.
  • Fast cutting of a wide range of plastics, fibreglass and composite materials.
